Low iron can leave you feeling exhausted, weak, foggy, short of breath, or unable to keep up with your normal routine.
At Creative Hydration, we offer medically guided IV iron infusions for patients with confirmed iron deficiency. Every treatment begins with lab review and a telehealth consultation with one of our Nurse Practitioners.
Iron Infusion [100mg] - $250

Common symptoms of iron deficiency can include:
Fatigue or weakness
Shortness of breath with activity
Decreased stamina
Headaches
Dizziness
Brain fog or difficulty concentrating
Heart palpitations
Cold hands or feet
Restless legs
Brittle nails
Craving or chewing ice
Iron deficiency means your body’s iron stores are low. If it progresses far enough, it can lead to iron deficiency anemia, where your body no longer has enough iron to make adequate healthy red blood cells.
Because many of these symptoms can have other causes, treatment is based on lab results and medical review — not symptoms alone.
Iron is essential for making hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen throughout your body.
Oral iron supplements can work well for many people, but IV iron may be recommended when:
Iron stores are significantly depleted
Oral iron hasn’t adequately improved your levels
Iron supplements cause digestive side effects
Your body has difficulty absorbing iron
Ongoing iron loss is difficult to keep up with
Your provider determines that faster or more efficient iron replacement is appropriate
IV iron is delivered directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system and eliminating the need to rely on gastrointestinal absorption.
If you’ve had appropriate bloodwork completed within the past three months, we can review your existing results.
If not, we can help order the necessary testing through Quest Diagnostics.
Your Nurse Practitioner will:
Review your labs
Discuss your symptoms and medical history
Determine whether IV iron is appropriate
Select your dose
Determine how many treatments may be needed
Recommend follow-up labs when appropriate
Once medically cleared, you’ll come into Creative Hydration for your treatment.
Plan for approximately one hour for your visit.
Our clinical team will monitor you throughout your infusion.
There is usually very little preparation required.
Unless your provider gives you different instructions:
You do not need to fast
Eat normally before your appointment
Stay well hydrated
Take your usual medications and supplements as directed
Most patients can return to their normal daily activities afterward.
Your NP may recommend repeat bloodwork after treatment to see how your iron levels and blood counts have responded.
Some people begin noticing improvement in symptoms such as energy, stamina, or concentration within the following days or weeks, while others may take longer.
There is no one-size-fits-all answer.
Some patients may need one infusion, while others may benefit from a short series of treatments.
Your treatment plan depends on your iron and ferritin levels, blood counts, symptoms, medical history, ongoing iron loss, and how much iron your body needs replaced.
IV iron is generally well tolerated, but side effects can occur.
Possible temporary side effects may include:
Headache
Nausea
Flushing
Dizziness
Muscle aches or cramps
Itching or rash
Changes in blood pressure
Discomfort around the IV site
Allergic or hypersensitivity reactions are uncommon but can occur, which is why patients are medically evaluated before treatment and monitored during their infusion.
